Comparison

Victava vs Chargeflow

When does the small-merchant-focused option win? When does the enterprise agency model win? Here's our honest read.

Honesty up front

Chargeflow is a real company with real customers, a $35M Series A, and a multi-product chargeback platform serving thousands of merchants — many at enterprise scale. Their automation stack is battle-tested.

Victava is in its founding cohort, live on Stripe, targeting one slice of that market: DTC merchants doing $100k–$5M GMV who run their store on Shopify, care about seeing the math behind every submission, and want to stay in control. We pull evidence Stripe can't reach — Shopify orders, helpdesk threads, carrier delivery proof — run the expected value on each dispute so you don't fight the ones that lose money, and are built around a hard architectural rule: we cannot submit without your approval. 20% on a win, $0 on a loss.

The right answer depends on which merchant you are. We laid out the tradeoffs below honestly. If you decide Chargeflow fits better — go use them. We'd rather you have the right tool than the wrong one.

Pick Victava when…

  • You want to see why the AI thinks each dispute will win, before submission.
  • You're paranoid about auto-submitting on a customer who's actually right.
  • You want to be told when a chargeback isn't worth fighting, instead of auto-fighting every one.
  • $50–$500 chargebacks (typical DTC AOV) where 20% on win beats fixed per-dispute fees.
  • You process on Stripe, run your store on Shopify, and ship physical goods.
  • You want a published win rate you can verify.

Pick Chargeflow when…

  • You process $5M+ GMV and want a fully-managed agency model.
  • You need pre-dispute alerts (CDRN/Ethoca) bundled with recovery.
  • You operate on multiple platforms (Stripe + PayPal + Braintree + Adyen) and need one tool across all.
  • You're comfortable with a sales-led demo cycle and a multi-tier product line.
  • You want a more mature company with a longer track record.

Switching questions

Can I switch from Chargeflow to Victava?

Yes. Cancel Chargeflow on your existing dispute pipeline; install Victava; new disputes flow to us. Disputes already submitted via Chargeflow stay with their fee structure (we don't double-bill).

Will Chargeflow notice / will switching break anything?

No. They use Stripe webhooks the same way we do. Both apps can be installed simultaneously during a switchover; we just won't both submit on the same dispute (the Stripe API enforces single-submission per dispute).

What if I want both?

Realistically, no — you'd be paying two success fees on every win. If you want both pre-dispute alerts AND Victava's evidence engine, the better path is to tell us you need it — we build CDRN/Ethoca alert ingest fast for early customers, behind first-customer demand.

We try. Every claim on the comparison table cites its source. If anything is wrong, email support@victava.com — we'll fix it within 48 hours.
